The project leader for the Austrian Economics Model is Jeremiah A. Lasquety-Reyes. He finished his Ph.D, in Philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and studied computer science at the Universität Hamburg, Germany. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Advanced Study on Media Cultures of Computer Simulation (MECS) at the Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Germany, and the Economica Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung in Vienna, Austria. He has published on ethics and the computer simulation of ethics.

Dr. Michaël Bauwens obtained a BA, MA, MPhil and PhD (2018) in philosophy from the Institute of Philosophy at the KU Leuven. His dissertation was on the metaphysics of institutions, and he has published on the intersection of metaphysics, philosophical theology, philosophy of economics, and social and institutional reality. He is a doctoral assistant in philosophy at the University of Antwerp and an affiliated researcher at the ETF Leuven, department of Historical Theology, as well as a member of the John Duns Scotus Research Group at the same institution.
